# Delete quote

> Deletes a quote and its lines.

Deletes the quote and its lines. A quote that other records refer to, for example a service slip or an opportunity, cannot be deleted (`5014`). There is no restriction by status: see [editing and deleting](/en/v1/quotes/overview).

## Error codes

Codes this endpoint can return. The [general errors](/en/v1/guides/result-codes) that apply to every endpoint (authentication, permissions, request headers, daily limit) are not repeated here.

| Code   | HTTP | Meaning                                                                                        |
| ------ | ---- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `5000` | 404  | Quote not found                                                                                |
| `5014` | 400  | The quote cannot be deleted because other records (service slip, opportunity, ...) refer to it |
